Bones Brigade Experience 2023

Spent the day at the 2023 Bones Brigade Experience at the Vans Skatepark at The Block of Orange in the City of Orange, Orange County, California on November 19, 2023. This was put on the legendary skateboarding company, Powell Peralta, which was owned by George Powell and the OG Z-Boy Stacy Peralta. Here you’ll find the original team members of the Bones Brigade legends themselves… Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero, Mike McGill, and Steve Caballero. Also includes freestyler Kevin Harris, Johnny Rad, Pops Hosoi, and Vans owner Steve Van Doren. This skatepark venue is now closed down but was still made available by Vans to host this premier event. Steve Van Doren, as always, was very gracious in providing plenty of lunch, snacks, drinks, and dessert for the attendees.

This video showcases the many art exhibits prepared by over 40 artists (Matt Lorentz). Each of the respective Bones Brigade members had their own areas to acquire signed autographs from the Bones Brigade team members… Tony, Rodney, Lance, Tommy, Mike, Steve as well as Johnny Rad, Powell Peralta owners George and Stacy. At the beginning of the event we were handed event wrist bands, gifted with canvas Vans bag with portrait cards of each of the Bones Brigade members, owners, and Johnny Rad.

Johnny Rad ended the event with live music along with the Bones Brigade squad up on stage singing “Skate and Destroy” and closed the event.
